Please note: The palm leaves are dried and pressed into the specific shape of the soap, creating the unique packaging. Palm leaf is a natural product and also exhibits the characteristic tropical weather influences of nature in the South Indian province of Kerala.

Rainforest Soap is a vetiver soap
Holy Lama Naturals Rainforest Soap is a vetiver soap that has a natural cooling effect. Ingredients like vetiver, hydnocarpus wightiana are used widely in Ayurvedic medicine.

INCI: Sodium cocoate, Hydnocarpus whitiana oil, Ricinus communis seed oil, Vetiveria zizanoides root oil, Curcuma longa Root oil, Cedrus deodara wood oil, Pogostemon cablin leaf oil, Cyperuss rotundus root oil, Acorus calamus rhizome oil, Limonene.
Natural – Sustainable – Fair Trade
Holy Lama products are predominantly made from natural ingredients, avoiding the use of harsh chemicals or synthetics. Their body care products are vegan, GMO free, handmade and not tested on animals.
Wherever possible, Holy Lama uses sustainable materials for packaging. During manufacturing, less than 1% wastage is produced, and all waste is used as fuel or cattle feed, thus the carbon footprint is exceptionally low!
The raw materials used for manufacture are sourced primarily from local farmers in Kerala and the rest of India, building upon over seven decades of strongly-established relationships with farmers. The business runs on a no-credit principle, meaning all farmers and raw material suppliers are paid immediately. The factory pays fair wages to staff, and fair prices to the farmers.
Women’s enterprise
Holy Lama Naturals is recognised in Kerala as a Government-approved women’s enterprise, where over 80% of the factory workers are women. Most come from disadvantaged backgrounds (i.e. widowed or deserted by a partner) and are given a chance to thrive (again) by working at Holy Lama Naturals.
