What is travertine?
Travertine is a porous limestone that naturally comes in pale, yellowish and brownish colours. The small cavities and holes in it are caused by trapped plant parts during the formation of the rock. Travertine stone is permeable and therefore a suitable type of stone to use as soap dish.
